As far as I know there isnt a way to drop the power to the pump. Its just a two wire pump with no adjustment. What about dropping the power to the pump to slow it down and lower the pressure?
The reason I suggested a Demon is because everyone I know with one has never had an issue with them. I don't care about looks I just want something that works.I personally would ditch the solid motor mounts. HOW BIG IS YOUR CAM? Is the flex plate clocked in the right position? Are your jets too big? FLOATS SATURATED? I like holley. Demon is better looking. But if you run that style air cleaner you can't see it anyway. Just throwing out some ideas.
They have fuel pump controllers that reduce voltage the most common is probably AeromotiveAs far as I know there isnt a way to drop the power to the pump. Its just a two wire pump with no adjustment.
Yea thats way too much money. Im gonna talk to my carb builder see what he thinks but I will more than likely end up going with a bigger return line. They have fuel pump controllers that reduce voltage the most common is probably Aeromotive
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aei-16306/overview/ but I do feel it is way to much money for something I feel is a bandaid for the real problem because if your complete fuel system is set up correctly this should not be needed.
There might be others but that one is only rated at 10 amps and drops voltage to 6 volts.I was thinking with a regulator similar to this

From Aeromotive's web site:
Avoid any device that reduces voltage to your fuel pump. Low voltage will destroy a 12V DC motor. The Aeromotive FPSC does not reduce voltage! The FPSC emits a pulse modulation signal that is harmless to the pump’s motor. - See more at: http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-p...l-pump-speed-controller/#sthash.maMpQaPk.dpuf
