I have a stock 307 sbo In a 1987 cutlass supreme. They guy I bought it from tried to do a tune up with new spark plugs and wires but he pull all the wires off. Just trying to find the number one on the distributor. Everyone keep telling me it would be labeled but so far I don't see it. If anyone can help would be nice. Just want to ride.

Firing Order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

put your number 1 cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke, take the cap off to see where the rotor is pointing

if the last guy didn't take out the distributor then number 1 is most likely where it is marked on the cap in the picture. That's why I posted it

I don't know why you can't see it but the number one on the cap is at the 11 0'clock position with the 12 o'clock pointed at the front down middle of the intake

make sure its on the compression stroke

I'm thinking the last guy just removed the wires so the distributor is still set up properly and he can just install the wires
