Distributor Recommendation

Agreed. I wasn't very clear with my response. I posted the link for the D.U.I. as that is what I would go with if it were me. When I said 'cheapies' I was referring to the very entry level distributors, which I wouldn't buy. If the O.P. does go with a D.U.I., get it directly from them and they will customize the curve for your specific setup.
my mistake

I am running a Top Speed Performance (TSP) ready to run distributor on my sbc. Cost around $120 shipped on Amazon. Some people say they're junk, and if I had the budget I would have gone MSD, but for the money I spent it gets the job done. Pretty sure they sell Old's dizzys as well.

Thanks for all the input everyone...Blue 78--theTSP is the one we saw on Ebay,it looks like it was designed after the MSD,it has good reviews if I remember.I'm sure we will find something.

Lots of those Ebay distributors are low quality and full of flaws. Old stock GM units are the best way to go, just rebuild a junkyard unit. Even new GM units are much lower quality than their old units. Cheap parts always cost more in the long run.
