Only I could do some dumb *ss sh*t like this: how do you reverse 3rd & 4th on the shifter? You put the freaking lever on upside down, that's how. Oh, and the speedo doesn't work. Anything worth doing is worth doing 6 times, right?
Why stop at 6, I mean, you've got 10 fingers and toes (probably) to keep track with...

Good enough to make the cruise, right? When I swapped the AOD in my Crown Vic for a free C6 I ran into a similar issue. Park was on the bottom and 1st up top. Drove it like that for years.
