The old tractor manufacturers used to do stuff like that in the 60's. My old Oliver has a cast exhaust manifold with a three inch pipe thread pipe threaded into it, and then a two and a half foot straight pipe. It used to have a muffler but it would not clear the garage door so. If you want my dual glass pack turbo exhaust you can have it when I put the Pypes exhaust on?

Lol yep its a cutout :)

I bought a nice boost actuated 5lb opening valve but its on a boat somewhere and I wanted to take the car to the track this weekend.

Ball valve would turn a 30 second job into a 3 second job :)

Thanks for the offer Zach but I am keeping the stock exhaust on, its in really good shape and is quiet and adds to the sleeper vibe :)

Had that 1-2 shift issue where it was really slow and would over-rev the engine. Servo had .160" of movement and target is .060. I had got that 84/85 GN servo but for some odd reason mine already had one. Trans is a CRF low power 305 spec one so I was a bit surprised it had the "OK" servo but it might make sense.

Pulled the pin, welded .1" onto it and re installed it. Also put the exhaust cutout in and welded up my union that goes into the down pipe since there was a 1/16-1/8" gap on the top that I missed when I welded it the first time on the car.

1-2 shift feels better a bit I guess? Its tough to tell.

The car is quieter though, I have yet to pull the cutout and see how loud it is open.

My adjustable FPR should be here today so Ill change that and turn the fuel pressure up to where it should be (36lb injectors at 3 BAR, and I have a 42lb chip so I need to turn the fuel pressure to 4 BAR), and my fueling should be good enough to be a bit mean to it. I know its lean now and my narrow band 02's show it so ive been nice to it. Ill get a wide band on it before I turn the boost up but for a 4psi shot here and there its been OK so far.

Im taking it to the track Saturday to get some baseline results. Goal is to dial the fueling in and maybe turn the boost to the stock 14psi. Its been at 9 so far since it has an adjustable wastegate.

Hopefully the trans holds!

Well kinda thrashed to get the car to the track. Decided I couldn't leave the leaking water pump and take it to the track so I grabbed one from the parts store and changed it today.

Got the vectors mounted and did a bit of tuning.

Looks awesome on the radials.

So racing? Didn't fully go according to plan.

Its a great conversation piece though! They had a street event tonight and the people there loved it.

First, I have severely insufficient brakes and I cant make over 2PSI at the launch before it pushes through. That meant my launch was poor.

First run I took it easy and got a 14.92. I let out pretty decent for the 1-2 shift and the second run I wanted to keep my foot in it until 5500 and only let off 20% since I let off fully my first run. I called my first run a success for a shake down pass.

Second pass I got double bulbed before I even finished my burnout STI driver was clearly new to it), and didnt get to build boost that well so the launch sucked. Got into 2nd gear and engine lost a ton of power. Started missing and running poorly. I havn't dug into it but I'm pretty sure it plugged an injector again. Called it a night and limped it home. The exhaust smelt like gas and the oil level is a quart full so I pumped a quart of gas into the oil pan again. I also didnt get a timeslip for whatever reason.

I need to do something with my front brakes, get a rust free fuel rail, and decide what to do with the trans.

This is the second run.
