Well I moved in the last month and restarted college for my masters this time so the wagon is on daily commuter duty. Oldest thing in the parking lot by 2 decades.

Saw a 04 gto on the way home yesterday and I barked the exhaust cutout just off his driver's quarter panel and let him hear the horse sneeze from the turbo when I let off. He looked at me thought nothing of it and looked back forward and he did a double take and just about broke his neck the second time when he realized it was a plywood wagon.

Radio #2 is junk. It works on startup after sitting a while and after about a minute it gets "warm" and then sends a ton of feedback static to the front speaker and the rears are just barely audible when cranked at full volume. It didn't matter what volume the front are set at it makes a consistent random scratching sound.

I like the old concert sound style Delco radio but this is the 4th of 5 I've owned that are broke in some form or another.

These met for the first time in over 2 years. Last time was when dad looked at the wagon in the summer of 17.

Both are dirty as since it down poured all weekend and its in BFE so its all gravel but I thought I would grab a photo.

Wagon season is done, had to get it out of the driveway for winter and its at the mother in laws. Winter project is to body work on the hood and maybe restore the center console and find a set of buckets for it.

For nothing else than to document.

The car doesnt need paint, but with the turbo engine and the turbo hood I have sitting, and the spoiler waiting to go on, and the sport dash cluster, and the center console out of that 78 turbo coupe I found last winter, I am DAMN close to having all the parts to making a sport wagon. I literally just need a set of fixed back buick buckets. The tilt back red viynl buckets out of the 78 turbo coupe are still available but in rough shape and overpriced at $150.

If I repaint the car, it's loosing the woodgrain (sad) but going back in silver/black two tone

This 78 aero back at my favorite yard has the right nose and a 78 Grand AM 4dr has the fixed back buckets that are pretty close.....

You must get bored easily. All I can say is I see kids coming in your near future. Better get this stuff done now while you can. Kids slow stuff like this down. I have a set of high back buckets in red cloth. Look like Pontiac ones to me by the material. You can probably have them if you really want them?

I might have to hit you up on those seats this summer. I have a few other outlets I want to check before I go with a set that needs to be upholstered.

Yeah kids slow things down, honestly I have enough projects that I won't get all of them done by the time I die so I will get what I can done in the mean time.

I don't get bored overly easily, I keep pretty busy. Maybe I don't get bored because I always keep my to do list packed? Brain was just swirling a bit because I was supposed to be doing grad school homework but my brain was kinda shot figuring out software and the wife's cat decided it wanted attention.

Snow melted so ran up north with the Rainier and the trailer to grab some furniture we bought over Xmas back home and had stored.

The wagon had barfed half a quart of ATF over the garage floor so I decided to give it a shot and see if it would start so I could drive it up on ramps and see if the pan bolts were lose.

Hooked up the battery, cranked slow but fired on the 2nd rotation. I was shocked! No jump or anything. Drove it on the ramps and the whole bottom of the trans looked oily and nothing was loose. I did my best to wipe up the Exon Valdez and took it for a quick spin after airing up one of the tires.

I just need to get a chance to go back North and grab it out if storage.

I need turbo boost and exhaust cutouts back in my life.

I am planning to swap to buckets and console on this car this summer on the path to convert it to a century sport wagon. I have the console I found out of the 78 turbo car last winter that I got the hood off of, but I need to hunt down (or build) a console lid & clean and paint it to match my darker maroon interior since the regal it came out of was red.

I have a pair of buckets picked out at a salvage yard I have to grab, the foam is in good shape but the fabric is in rough shape. They are close to the right color though! I am stuck on if I want to recover this set in full vinyl to match the rears or go with fabric.

Stock int. does have the cutlass pattern upholstery to redo this set, so I requested samples to see how close it is. If the vinyl is real close I'll probably build a console lid out of wood and cover it with some hard foam and cover in vinyl.

This summer is looking slow in the events & carshow game so might as well stock up on project ideas!

Seems finding the older buckets is a bit harder, I'm used to finding/having later year Monte style buckets, see them turn up more often. So many variations in the early year stuff makes it interesting.

I was planning on having buckets re-done to some matching original vinyl of my interior but this year changed gears, rather have cloth/velour than vinyl. I guess all preference, just don't know how well vinyl holds up over time and how it might feel on a warm day, when my wagon is in the sun the vinyl gets hot quick.

Sad to see any wagon lose it's wood but the Century Sport Wagon is a cool idea, wonder how many are still around or even made in the first place.
