thanks guys for the info haha and and was told the motor had been "bored 30 over" when it was rebuilt..i was wondering what part on the engine gets bored out? the guy sold me the engine as a 355. and it also has little badges that say "built right" have an of you seen that before??

When an engine is "bored" they insert a machine into each cylinder and remove what material is neccessary to make the bore (in this case) 4.030" which makes it .030" over since a Chevy 350 begins its life with an even 4" bore.

The 'built right" badge is most likely just a trademark stamp that is stuck on by that specific engine builder
