While cleaning up the engine compartment I found this plug. .what is it? And what is it for? It was not hooked up. I don't see any loose connections.

On my Regals it plugs into the loomed wiring harness coming from the passenger side firewall, has about a 8"long spur with a couple red and white wires. (For reference my 3 regals are all us built 1983s with 3.8v6 engines and a/c). Took a picture that may help you track down the missing plug.

Forgot to add... if memory serves correctly, that is the relay for the ac compressor on the ac system. If your ac has been yanked out, or, if you have a non ac car that someone swapped the wheelwell off another car that ac on it without removing the surplus relay, that could explain things....

Thanks! I'll have to take a look when I get home. Nothing was plugged in and I do have an a/c. I did have the engine rebuild at a shop and I'm noticing things that are either missing like bolts.
