0.)Drain all liquid from crankcase
1.)Remove the spark plugs
2.)Add a genrerous amount of mystery oil to each cylinder
3.)Overfill crankcase with mystery oil
4.)Let the engine rest for a week adding small amount of mystery oil daily
5.)After the week of rest, gently work engine back & forth with breaker bar
6.)If engine spins easily goto step 7; else come back to step 5 a week later after adding more mystery oil daily
7.)Crank engine without sparkplugs to ensure that all cylinders are void of 99.9% of mystery oil
8.)Drain crankcase & refill with fresh oil
9.)Prime engine
A.)Replace spark plugs and start engine

Good luck on your quest - I would take it apart but I understand. I've seen some engines revived that I never would quess could happen. Scarry part is it could be cracked. Pontiacgp has a point since it got filled from the intake.

I don't think so. It leaked at the valley pan so it just dripped right past the cam and crank. On Pontiac engines the pan is seperate from the intake. It got dark so I did not pull spark plugs yet.

Mark,
A friend of mine had un-seized a few outboard motors using one of the Kroil products . I've used it on some nasty bolts and such. The stuff really works.

Hahah.

Nope. Just a technique that can yield positive results. Albeit the neighborhood will be 'fogged' out for a few mins after the first start 🙂 . I find these type of mini-projects interesting since lots of folks in the car world would just want to rebuild the engine. Sometimes when required the less than perfect solution also yields ok results..

S&S is down the block.

Bring it to them!!

Screw S&S. They took over a year to do a 400 short block for a guy I know, they lost parts, and the cost mushroomed as time went by. I would only use ACE Crankshaft for any engine work. Bob is an old school craftsman/genius/master machinist.
