Yea, that bugs me too along with all the other unfinished started projects. Got over ambitious & started on the vette rear bumper while working on Camaro front . Then got injured a work aug 2016 ( cut tendons in arm) & threw things back together. Got busy doing stuff for wife last year till I got what turned out to be a hernia that I'm recovering from getting fixed right now. I know, ,,,excuses, but making the effort to get something done this year & get a few parts back with new paint.
I thought about it before & might still consider making fiberglass layovers for new quarters instead of all that metal work & buying new parts to cut up.

Here's a concept rendering done for me on pro-touring. While some details changed that I won't be changing, the profile is close enough to what I may do and it's all shiny.
Turned my attention to doing all fiberglass layovers, which I may include the sides of the vette rear in all 1 piece for a seamless look which will take care of small mismatches there in 1 shot.
Trying to get with a few people who know more than me on fiberglass & mold making to up my skills.

The rear wing def gives it the O.G. El Camino look, interested to see how this will turn out. You going to keep those wheels on it?

I think that rear cab mounted wing will crack very easy with the "wind swirl" truck beds have

Wheels are expendable items. Got those for $700 with decent tires several years ago. May buy billet spacers out back till I can afford wheels I want. (Probably 12" rear) I do have main air ride parts needed to get the stance your Mote has.
Cab extension may be welded in sheet metal. I just think it'll be a cool extra cosmetic item with a little actual function for the sunshine state.
Rendering shapes aren't exact, actual bed may be taller, & spoiler may kick up higher ' though not as long. But I think the smooth gentle curves I'm picturing are in the general musclecar factory look, as they remind different people of different cars their minds favor.

Was just asking because I don't think those wheels do it any justice, now the 12" rear would probably look really good. Looking forward to see where this goes.

There are some 5th gens in 2 junkyards nearby, so may get an old quarter panel to practice on. Might just try going with a slit above each wheel well end like in the challenger wide body pic. It would give an angled, straight/ angled sort of profile rather than just continuous smooth curve.
Figure this way I could practice some with metal & if I think I can get it all straight enough stick with metal. Could make the rear bumper sides all metal with a little hand fab work. Could also go back to my 1st idea of using part of front fender tops for quarter height extensions. If I'm not happy with my metal work itself, I could temporarily attach the other quarters & bondo the crap out of to make a mold off of.

Got 2 rear quarters, 2 front fender upper sections & a little doorskin for spare material .Making wood jigs to layout & start cutting &shaping, going back to plan A. No coke bottle shape at top of quarter with this method. Less aggressive, but more possible factory looking..

Started making wood welding jig for quarters, pushing the wheel wells out 2 3/4" after making 2 vertical cuts at the ends of the wheel wells..
Went to a mopar salvage yard today & got the upper portion of a pair of 69 charger quarter panels for $100. Got em cut off with a dewalt 20 v grinder & 6" discs in 15 minutes. Outward cokebottle shape is about 1 1/2".Elky panel is about 3/8 to 1/2".
Holding one up at approx location, think it should look good. Vertical contour pretty much same as mine.
