Engine block mounts?

When I did my swap, I bought frame mounts for an '83 Monte Carlo 305 and dropped the engine straight in from the '73 C10 in the driveway and everything fit just fine. I admit, it does sit a bit high, but I like the space I have between the oil pan and frame. The only "problem" I have is that my air cleaner sits against the hood insulation

You must not run a fan shroud, because the fan will hit the top of it when truck mounts are used.

They're easy enough to get the right ones from a G-body. Save yourself the trouble and get the correct ones.
I put up a post for some in the Wanted section a couple years back, and in two days had 8 people respond that had some for me...

I want to but it took us a long time to get the motor brackets to line up with the frame mounts. Plus, where would I find them local? Do junkyards have motors pulled you can pull from? Autozone don't list the brackets. I have to find some longer bolts as well, the v6 ones are too short.

I got the brackets bolted to the mounts painfully but successfully. I just hope I can close the hood when I put it back on. I haven't bought the air cleaner yet but it looks like it will hit the alternator anyway. Might have to get a cowl hood.
