I don't see any water for a boat either!!
Really? It's being stored less than 100' from the Snake, right out my parents' back door.

I guess so. I don't have the patience for fishing but there are always people fishing at the park by the bridge. Supposed to be good fishing at the reservoir too.

When I was 12, I drove Grandpa's tractor to town to fill the tank. Probably used half the tank getting back!

I think I mentioned it before. This tractor belonged to my dad's grandpa. My nephew is the 5th generation to use it. Just keeps running.

Had a dry windy day yesterday so I ran the mower over the leaves in the front yard. Heavy wind carried almost everything away. Looks way better.

Brown dog insisted on being outside with me even though it was only about 40*. Shivered the whole time. Dummy.

Today I finally put together my target stand then took it to the range to try it out while testing the 336W and an AR build. Both with open sights.

Ended up being one of only 2 guys in the whole place.

Always impressed with the view out there.

Stopped by and checked to see if my dad was working on his boat and he was mapping out floor repair. We started talking about my build and I was whining about not having a shop while apologizing for filling up his. We schemed a bit and may have a solution. I'll know more after I meet with the builder tomorrow.

Not quite the perfect spot for any real distance shooting but I wouldn't have any problems with some pistol practice out here.
Actually, that's not a bad segue to this piece. I know this guy and his house is about 3/4 mile down the street from The Compound. Incident happened the same day we closed and were officially out. Looks like we escaped just in time.

Yeah, he's a pretty straightforward guy. I don't know him all that well, acquaintances really. I did some work for him a few years ago and our wives know each other through work. Glad no one got hurt.
I never told my wife but I found evidence of "campers" in the woods behind The Compound. That whole area has gotten too tolerant of that element. Glad I got out.
