I'd love to cover it in ivy but I don't think it grows well around here. Can't remember seeing it anyway.
I can bring some of my homies out there and they can "paint" it real nice for you.
I could send you some kudzu, that sh-- grows on everything...
On the other side of the Cascades, where I came from, English Ivy grows on everything. And moss. I'd take either here.
I'm tentatively planning to grind and face-prep all the blocks for uniformity. These are basically leftovers from other pours that get dropped into molds (forms) when trucks return to the yard. Therefore, color and texture varies. Once I get them somewhat uniform in texture, I plan to paint or dye them a tone close to the color of the dry soil here. I just want it to fade away.
I mostly want to kick the building inspector square in the nuts.

The expensive (and time consuming) solution is stone veneer or lick'em & stick'ems as my brick layer called them.

I still hate it but I've got a couple ideas to try to make it look a bit better. And I still don't know how much it's going to end up costing me.
how did you manage to get funding for a wall??????.....🤔
I didn't. I learned from the government that it's completely cool to spend first and figure out how to pay for it later.
