If that engine is running good and you can hook-up alright :| I would guess you at a low 13 second quarter mile

Ask the big buick guy what HP that motor is stock???? What stall converter??? I love the idea of big blocks in a G Body.but I bet a stock 455 won't get you to the low 13's. NOt to piss you off...But, low 13's in a street car is very fast...............sorry :(

I know it's a low compression engine, but my dad had the "exact" same car, except his regal was an 85 I think, but he had the motor out of his 72 electra in it...and he has pictures of it crossing the lights at our local dragstrip in the low 14's still smoking the 1 tire it would smoke lol

Well figure a 455 in its shittiest form was rated around 250hp and 400ft/lbs give or take. With those crappy 3.08s and drivetrain loss your probably putting down 200hp and 350 ft/lbs on a good day. I'd say you'll break 13s but just barely. Put some 3.73s and a good converter in it and I'd say you'd be way better.

remember that that 250 hp and 400 lb ft are in 1972 lets add 38 years of driving to that. On a good day you MIGHT have 180/330 to the wheels.

The 455 in it's "worst" form was in 76, where I believe it was rated at 205hp and 345ft/lbs, also, I'm sticking with the 3.08s, because it's a driver first, and a racer 2nd lol
