Was it a person on here?

no..no one here calls the kid a kid.... 😛

jk of course

FOS! Even Canadian Cutlass Supreme Classic came with the 307 for 88. The main reason I bought mine, made a 403 swap much easier. All others except H/O or 442's came with the 267 or 305 up here.

Cutlass Classic i pulled parts off had the 307 engine. BTW i know what you mean about bein a "kid" i am freaking 28 and the guys call me a fu***** kid still! But in a way its okay cuz it just means your just as good as them.. Best way to look at it is you learn something everyday and they do have experience. But sometimes if you know your right and they are telling you you are wrong is to stick to your guns and appreciate it when your right and say "my bad" when your wrong

You are... 😀

Now where's my walker. It's almost time for the early bird special.

All 1988 Cutlass Supreme Classics came with 307 "Y" motors and 200R4 overdrive automatic trannys with 2.56:1 gears. The customer had the choice of upgrading to 3.08:1 rear gears and I believe the rare GT models came with the 3.08's but 350 engines were never offered in the Classic. The 1988 Classics were really just stock piled 1987's with the word classic tacked on from the factory. Now I did hear that a few vin "9" motors made it into 1988 Classics with 442 appearance packages and 3.08 gears but I have never seen one so cannot verify that. The 79-80 W-30 Hurst cars came with factory Olds 350 motors but that was it sadly.

On a similar note, there were monte's from mexico with 350's and el caminos in the states, anyone know what years and if any others had a 350?

nah no one on here, and yes I am young, and may BE a "kid" to some of you but Its really insulting after being kicked off of a message board I had been a member of for 2 years simply because of my age, and not only that as I was kicked off, the other users mocked me.

if you don't let it get to you then they'll get bored and cut it out....heck the 16 yo kid who drives our race car can outdrive most people and the other kid from our shop is now driving Nascar trucks and in the Nationwide series

I always think thats crazy awesome when teens kick *ss on the track like that. I dont know if I am good enough to race, but as far as general knowlege about cars, i know a lot more than the mechanic I work with, but as far as knowing how to actually do the work and take things apart and getting them back together, Im not quite up to par yet. lol
