Factory SBC Mini Starter?

Check out the starters that came with the chevy trucks that had the 454 big block in them...they are much snmaller then the big bulky ones for the sbc....I have one on my sbc...then again I have the 168 tooth flywheel.....

LT1 cars (Fbody and Bbody) use a smaller starter than traditional style. I use one from a '95 Caprice on my El Camino and it works fine. The LT1 corvettes (1992-1996) use a Denso style mini starter with gear reduction. Both work with 153 tooth flywheel/flexplate.
