I love me some heavy metal guitars, especially when paired with thundering drums. This means I like most of the mainstream usual suspects--Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Metallica (but never Alternica) and so on. It also means I own albums by dozens of lesser-known bands such as Armored Saint, Grim Reaper, W.A.S.P., etc.

But if one were to look at my music collection and rate my favorite band by largest number of albums owned, my top group is definitely Running Wild. Pirate Metal FTW!!!

Three songs, chosen at random:

Glad to know I’m not the only WASP fan here

My dad introduced me to his era of music so I’ve always been on 80s rock

Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio (Rainbow and Black Sabbath included), Megadeth, W.A.S.P., Malmsteen, Accept and of course OZZY! I’ve probably seen Queensrÿche over 20 times, also saw Priest in September (first band I listened to in my Regal)

RUSH is one of the greatest, especially synth-era

Also lots of hard rock eg. KISS, Def Leppard, GN’R, Quiet Riot, Ted Nugent, Night Ranger, White Lion, Cinderella, Heart, Great White, Y&T, Van Halen, Sammy Hagar, Damn Yankees, Krokus, Twisted Sister, Ratt, Skid Row, King Kobra, Scorpions, Spinal Tap (and yes I know it’s just a movie)

I think KISS’s mid 80s albums (Crazy Nights, Asylum) are really overlooked, Bruce Kulick had serious skill
Night Ranger is seriously underrated
Y&T is all but forgotten now but totally worth listening back on
White Lion had Pride which was huge but the following Big Game (1989) is a seriously underrated improvement

Anyone remember the Hear N Aid “Stars” collab?

Oh and INXS is awesome too

This is getting weird

It's BEEN weird! You ain't seen nothing yet. How about Bootsy Collins in a diaper?!? ED1948- Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention- pure genius! "We got matching suits and Beatle boots".

Here's a group (and tune) we can all relate to. Hard to believe it's 50 yrs old.,,,and another tune that's not quite as old, but classic.
