I used to enjoy loud music, played in a band. Now not so much anymore. I'm paying the price for aural foolishness in my youth. Certain high frequencies cause me to cringe. Many of those frequencies that bother me are similar to my Wife's voice range. Fortunately exhaust noises are still good to my ears

ED- me too somewhat. But when I hear a car coming from three blocks away and my house windows start to vibrate- all I can think of is this guy will soon be carrying around one of those ear trumpets and saying "EH? WADYA SAY??"

Why limit it to a single band? Heavy Metal, the movie. All good, with the exception of Devo...

I liked the southern rock bands of the era....Allman Bros., Marshall-Tucker Band, Molly Hatchet, Charlie Daniels, Skynard, of course.
The Allman Bros, Band put on an amazing show. I saw them at Central Park back in the early '70's with all the original members...Duane Allman, and Berry Oakley.
I think this was probably my favorite from that genre.

Steve do you see what you started?!? If there is a trend here I think it is '80's metal morphing into '90's/'00's hard core with a fair amount of nostalgia for simpler times. Are we all that hard edged now? Perhaps, since we still work on cars, another fading skill in a push-button world.
