Even though he was kind of a one-hit-wonder, I thought for sure somebody would've mentioned Kim Mitchell by now-

Bam! I totally remember that song, always thought it was the Tubes. Never saw the video before. What the hell was in that soda?

I am 65, still ride a mountain bike, and I like Band Of Horses. Who ever paired up the incredible Danny MacAskill and "The Funeral" really nailed it.

My musical interests are all over the map.
1969 was a great year, graduated HS and great muscle cars abounded...oh, then there was this band.

Fun times on TV

Fun times on the AM radio

Kim Mitchell aka Max Webster was hardly a one hit wonder here in Canada

Another Canadian boy makes it big after this

A Toronto band that should have had more international success

It's interesting to see our varied (and different) tastes in music. It's definitely a generational thing. It's what we were exposed to during our youth and got to enjoy. Whether it was hard rock, psychedelic, soul and r&b, blues, etc.
As far as rock inspired movies go, here's a classic documentary that featured the legendary band, "The Band" and other noted talents of the era. It's a long flick though.

If you are of a certain age you had a stack of 45rpm records. I'll bet you had some of these funny ones too. Dickey Goodman kept us laughing at the radio for years with these. They always used the current hits. The last one is a Buddah Records rip-off but still funny.

I enjoy the early 70's Soul Music - one of many great bands I listen to:

and anything by the Brothers Johnson
