Favorite/Least Favorite Things about G-Body Cars

I agree with u 100 percent but what I don't understand is why all the after market parts like a arms for example cost so much more.

My hunch is because G-Bodies are still kind of an “emerging” market compared to the F-Bodies, Tri-5 Chevys, Mustangs, Chevelles, etc. If the market ever really takes off, I expect there will be more competition, and prices will come down.

Because companies are taking advantage of the what 20 or so different cars they fit.

Great looking cars with V8, rear wheel drive. Usable rear seat with a full size trunk. Get a lot of looks whenever I have it out. Very anemic stock. Crappy frame.

What I like and dislike in one thought - they don't build them like this anymore!

Not sure if that is a good or bad thing???

Big thing the Challenger has over the Mustang and Camaro is a very useable back seat and trunk. Plus they have a back up camera available. I can hardly wait to get the AWD GT slightly used in about a year's time. I will be keeping the 2010. When I buy the GT, it will be bye bye G body, I can only keep so many cars.
Pros for G bodies:
Last Oldsmobile V8 powered 2 door rear wheel drive car made.
Turbo Buick's
Cons:
Too many to list but,
Rust
Crappy heat
Junk wiring
7.5" rear, GM never learned look at the 4th Gen Camaro
Anemic old school motors, they could have went efi across the board
Crappy transmission's
Crappy suspension, actually worse than the cars they replaced and rear frame rails that always rust first
Mediocre brakes with no performance upgrades on performance models, as said no rear disk brake option
Little value other than the GN/GNX and maybe the Hurst/Olds
I will miss my G body but at the same time I won't

I'm not convinced that is an upgrade. Those cars are only available V6 correct? An AWD 4100lb six cylinder car sounds like a recipe for boredom. FCA isn't exactly known for producing quality vehicles either. Kinda like a Gbody without any of the positive aspects.

Yeah, the Challenger (and all LXs, for that matter) are pretty porky. The Pentastar 3.6 is a decent engine for what it is, but it’s no fireball. Main attraction of the Challenger GT is the AWD traction. Would be nice if you could get the AWD with the 5.7 or 6.4 Hemi.

A resounding YES!
Like your parents making you finish eating all the liver, potatoes and brussel sprouts just so you can have the Jello with whipped cream!

Potatoes sound good!
