what all form a fbody can be uesed on a gbody i know the sway bars can but what els can be uesed and whats the plus of uesing a fbody suspenion on a gbody.i have a trans am gta thats been sitting for years now that iv had plans on buildin up

Front sway bars from a WS6 are bigger than standard G-body F41 bars. Rear lower control arms are the same ( I think). Differential Carrier may be swapable, but splines on axle need to be checked. Other than that, don't know of any other parts that are interchangeable.

id like to find out if the rear dif carrier is swap abul cuz my trans am has a posi in it. and i belive the sway bars off the gta are 34mm and the ws6 has 36mm sway bars would it really make that much of a dif

Either 34 or 36 mm Sway bar should be better than your stock, but measure your stock one to see what size it is. The larger sway bars do make a significant difference in handling. The carriers will fit, but it does depend on the year of the F-body whether the g-body axles will fit. I know the F-body switched to 28 spline somewhere around 88-89, IIRC. Before that they were 26 spline ( same as G-body).

Hopefully someone with more specific knowledge will jump in.

if the rear spring isolators are in good shape you can use them to fit an open spring in the rear so you can cut it if you wish

My car was really rough - I went to the boneyard often - half my car seems like F body stuff.

I used a carrier/gears/posi out of an 85-86 Trans Am - the early third gens had 26 spline axles. I think by 90 or so they went to 28 splines and those will not be compatible with stock G body axles.

The lower control arms are the same, the steering box is too, of course engines, trannys, accessories, radiators. Seats (not tracks) rear drum brakes are the same, wheels are interchangeable

Not sure about springs, front brakes, front suspension

Great knowledge here at G-body as well as ThirdGen.Org. My 91'WS6 handles corners great but she is very tight/like a brick in my opinion.... Hit a pebble and we are dancin' :wtf:
EDIT: Front suspension only has been done on my 91'. Didn't improve things as I had hoped...... :wtf:

I'm using the Camaro spindles, 38 mm bar, z box and F body rear spring isolators...I also have the camaro T5 WC and the Camaro handbrake and GTA seats..I'm using S 10 cut springs up front and Pontiac Phoenix cut rear springs...
