I'm using the Camaro spindles, 38 mm bar, z box and F body rear spring isolators...I also have the camaro T5 WC and the Camaro handbrake and GTA seats..I'm using S 10 cut springs up front and Pontiac Phoenix cut rear springs...
how did the fbody spindles work out? and do thay go in wwith no probs

They are 11 rotors, they use the same pads and callipers the 12 b body rotors use, and they bolt right in and give you better braking. They are tall spindles so they help the camber going around curves but you need to use a 7.5" upper a arm. I also have tall lower ball joints so I have to take some measurements cause my 7.5 uppers seem a little short. I'm thinking I can use the stock length of 8" uppers.

Hey pontiacgp, were those spindles off a 3rd gen or a 2nd gen f-body? I know the 2nd gens had 11" rotors and I thought the 3rd gens had smaller brakes?

I'm good on the 2nd gens, but not up on the 3rd gens.

2nd gen, we race a 2nd gen circle track. We went with a ford rear with 5x5 wheels so we used the B body 12" rotor cause you can get that with a 5x5 rotor. That's when I noticed the pad and callipers in the B body were the same as on the camaro

Cool. You left turners come up with some great swap ideas that us straight liners can use

we have to cause we're cheap..

I was thinking of the B body set up on my GP since it comes in the 4.75 bolt pattern as well. The braking would be a bit better since the 12" rotor has more leverage but there would be more rotating mass and more sprung weight so I think it's a trade off. We didn't pick up or lose any lap time with the B body set up on the race car.

just the spindles..G body upper control arm have a 1.25 offset, the camaros have no offset. They lowers are not designed the same

Mind if I ask how much taller are the B-body & F-body spindles compared to the G-body spindles?

And I've been wondering why companies that make drop spindles for the g-body don't offer stock-ride-height G-body tall-spindles, possibly with newer brake options.

if the rear spring isolators are in good shape you can use them to fit an open spring in the rear so you can cut it if you wish
i forgot all about this fourm.what is a open spring?and i took my stock gbody springs and and was goin to cut them down a bit but ones its cut i dont see how it would go back in cuz the spring isolators wont work with the spring after cutting it with the way the top of the spring is eveyones been tellin me i can cut them no prob and i just dont get how it would work do i just cut them and put them back in er what?
