Finally an electric car I can get behind... aka what ford shouldve done for a mustang mach-e

I don't have any problems with electric cars. I'm an engineer and I'm pretty sure I'll buy a cheap used one in the next 5 years... but I do have a problem with some of the people who currently buy them.

My estimation is somewhere between 1/4 to 1/2 have a mental illness. Really. An actual, honest to god mental illness.

For anecdotal evidence I present, this:

The entire video is great, mental illness rears its ugly head around 11:30.

You just want to shake this guy and scream "WTF is wrong with you?"

I have run across this multiple times with Electric car owners. Scientifically, their electric cars are not helping the planet even a tiny bit, but you can't reason with a mentally ill person.

A little off topic burt California is going to start rolling blackouts cause the grids cannot keep up with all the air conditioners running.....wonder what would happen if 25% of the people had electric cars to plug in every night...I have read in Toronto, Ontario that if 10% of a grid plugged in their electric cars the grid would fail

If your grid is failing, the green deal would save everything! 🙂 Except your retirement accounts.

Not sure I'd want a conversion. But an all new vehicle could work.

I'd buy one eventually as a daily if they didn't all look like dog crap. Tesla ain't it. Mus-tank ain't doing it with a re-named CUV either. C'mon, car companies. Make something that looks like you want to drive it. Maybe an electric truck? One that you can't bust the unbreakable windows out with a rock? Just because you're fast, doesn't mean you're cool. Stop being uncool, electric car makers. Make something cool. Just do it. I still think the battery situation needs more work.

I remember owning a fleet of electric cars many years ago. They were fast too. Until the smoke got let out.
