Finally able to get rid of the 14" mag wheels. Got a set of 16" Iroc wheels. came in that black chrome style. Scuffed them up and painted them graphite. Worked out well to match the bottom part of the car. Definitely raised the whole car up. Has 2" lowering springs in front, but time for 2' drop spindles as well and 3" rear lowering springs to suck up that huge wheel gap. Also got rid of those god awful fake projector headlights. Previous owner did some terrible things.Slowly but surely.

Nice look!!!!!

What size tires did you go with?

Some say that using these F body IROC rims requires use of four ("4") front rims. I think the stock front rims had 4.0" of backspacing while the rear stock IROC rims had 4.5" of backspacing.

Did you encounter any rubbing after installation of the IROC rims?

If so where did you encounter rubbing?

I think they are aftermarket. The GM ones had a 'front' and 'rear' cast into them in small letters near the bead. That said, I think these equate to the fronts with zero offset. I have similar rims with 255-50-16 and these match the factory 26.1" diameter very close, while the IROC tires are 25.7". Choices are getting slim for these tire sizes as the 80s dwindle into ancient history...

They are aftermarket. Went with 245/50r16. It's close but no rubbing. Both are 4" back spacing I'm pretty sure. We will see about the rubbing once the funds build back up for 2" drop spindles.

The IROC wheels are a definite improvement. They look good on your car. The Centerline wheels are dated...
