Finally getting around to it

Thanks for all your feedback guys.

Injectedcutty- I tend to agree with Hotchkis. I have some experience with them and that's why I was leaning that way. I will look at those other options though if they have a good name.

Texas82GP - if you know of any links where I can read more about that AC setup let me know, you've struck my interest with that.

As far as frame/suspension goes I had already planned on replacing the body bushings. That's in the list. I am less knowledgeable about anything else though. If I "box" the frame with those parts I posted earlier will that be enough? Or should I look at adding more reinforcements? I've spent some time on the GNSPerformance website and was wondering if anyone had any of their products? I figure On adding the front and rear supports at a minimum plus boxing it. I like the looks of their GNX wheelhouse plates too, for larger tire size.

Bar50- As far as the Cam goes, yes it will be a roller and I will have a stud girdle. I am not sure on the degree of the Cam yet, I am letting my builder choose which way to go with that. He's a great guy and has built several motors for people I know and they all rip. Letting him also pick the stall that best matches the motors performance. Also I had planned on going with a lower gear than a 3.73, at minimum 3.92. Most if not all my track pulls will be on an 1/8th mile track.

Box the frame plus add all the F41 bracing and aftermarket bracing at the rear control arm mounts.

It will be a custom install but quite doable. Order yourself a Vintage Air catalog and check it out. They are in San Antonio. Good folks. Good service. They can help you through the process. Here is a picture of the Vintage Air installed in my brother's 78 Z28......

I went from 4.11 to 3.73 in a current pump gas BBC/TH400 9 inch Malibu project and lost nothing. Gained MPH. Still carries the wheels and it's on pump gas 468.

I would call a stall company and order one that fits your combo. A real converter will make worlds of difference in the actual performance of the car.

Thanks guys.

Texas- I'll look into that AC option, very much appreciated.

Bar50- that's some good info. Maybe I won't need to gear it as low as I thought originally. And as far as the stall goes I was going to let my engine builder suggest one, I will also call a company and see how the two suggestions compare

For suspension umi suspension has good products and there reasonable prices so you can use more toward other parts of your build. I've used them on both of my gbodys without any issues

Pictures will be up soon. Trying to get everything in order. I'll put some pictures up once body is off the frame cause I need some suggestions on a slight drop/or not in the nose. Never lowered anything before.

We ran the regular AC box with the flat valve covers on our 502, but eliminated the AC when we went to roller rockers and tall valve covers because of interference.

A slammed regal can fit 255's with in front without rubbing if you slightly roll the outer fenders (inside of the trim) and reshape the inner fenders. 275/60's will fit in back without any real mods, even on a low car as long as the offset is right.

My car is on the bumpstops and has tall lower ball joints, so it is as low as it can go without drop spindles, and 255/50R16's fit without rubs.

Obviously I'm not looking to slam the car like a low rider, but i want this exact stance. Identical. If this car is on here anywhere and you guys know the owner please get him in the thread. I'm going to run the same hood, car will be very similar to this one except a gunmetal grey color.
