Thanks for the part-by-part reporting of your progress. This is the kind of work those of us in the armchairs enjoy.

I installed a new blower motor, my front inner fenders, rear floor plan drain plugs, got one seat in it and will probably take it to storage soon. Ill Spend the winter cleaning up the used 350 I bought and finishing buying my carper, headliner, shifter and etc over the winter. We had a a small snow and the wife wants the garage back unfortunately.

Since I had to put the car in storage for the winter I started aquirering stuff for my engine and cleaning up what I have.. I aquired a used 350 Chevy that I was told ran good and spent some time doing my rattle can rebuild.
I searched all local junkyards for a power steering set up and was told they don't even mess with cars like this. If one came in today it wouldn't even go to the parts lot. Straight to crusher. Sad
Luckily I found one off an individual. Lots of sandblasting and cleaning and some paint and it's looking respectable from finally

I put new front and rear seals in my transmission and a new pan gasket and coat of chevy orange on it as well. I have a question on adjustable vacuum modulators. The scew has been messed with and I don't know where it's set at now. Is there a baseline to set it back to ,like a carburetor screw all way in and 1 1/2 turns out.

I believe for faster shifts you turn out , so when you get it in[ the trans] if its not shifting where you like , you can adjust . I am not sure about a baseline to start with, but as soon as you start driving it you will know which way to adjust . There is also the detent , or [ passing gear ] cable to consider . You can usually set it by pressing the accelerator pedel to the floor [ with engine off ] and pushing in on the button in the center of cable and then release button while holding throttle wide open , then release throttle [ not all kick down linkage has this ] but the ones that do adjust that way .

I decided to correct a problem I had back long ago with the speedometer not being accurate. I took the back of the transmission off and found out I had the biggest speedometer drive gear. I used a gear calculator and got new drive and driven gears coming so I'll have a correct speedometer. I wish I had known how to correct this when I was driving this 20 years ago.

I got my early Christmas parts that I won on eBay . new valve covers and matching air cleaner, came with filter and breathers!
My car was set up to use a Mr gasket street scoop but after seeing the pics on this site of the vfn fiberglass ram air hood my mind got changed real fast. That's the route I want to go for a hood eventually.
