I did that too. It came loose. So I did the unthinkable: I drilled holes for stainless steel bolts and mounted a block of mahogany wood to the transom. I sealed it to the hull with GLUVIT which is an epoxy that stays a bit flexible when cured. I used the GLUVIT all over the wood too since it is waterproof. Then it was easy to mount the transducer with stainless wood screws. I trailered for many years then I docked it in salt water the last 10 years. 30 years later when I was selling the LUND, I removed the mahogany wood and it was as good as the day I mounted it. I just sealed the screw holes with Marine Tex and painted over the spot.I JB Welded a block to the back of the boat
