Fishing this year

If she can cook them too then I'd say you have the perfect woman. 😍
She can fillet them perfect, no bones. The last Walleye was the best I ever had and Channel Cats tasted very good.

My Wife does have a sister, not sure why my BIL married her, he is too nice of a guy. They are nothing alike, she can't cook or bake as near as good and makes $0 a year. My Wife makes 80K a year as a Nurse.

When I was a kid growing up, our house was a short walk from the Ohio River. Me and my friends from the neighborhood used to catch all kinds of stuff, mostly catfish and carp, some smallmouth bass, but occasionally someone would reel in a pike. Used to get a lot of turtles too, spiny softshells and snapping turtles. Some people say there are walleye in there, but I've never seen them. I haven't been fishing in years.

We have big Carp and Channel Cats in the Quapple River system and lakes. The only Bass we have close by are Rock Bass in the Quapple River system. Also big Pike and Walleye as well. Our local reservoir where most of the pics are from, mostly Walleye, then Pike, some 10 to 15 pounds that moved in the flood of 2013, Suckers and Yellow Perch. The Perch used to be the main fish. The Pike decimated the Perch, rarely catch them now. There was stunting, the ones we catch now are nice. There are so many 3 to 12 pound Walleye, the Pike won't be able to take over. The water can be quite turbid which the Walleye have the advantage.

Lake Erie is usually great for Walleye, but supposedly the algae blooms this year have been pretty bad and made the lake really nasty, both for fishing and swimming. I usually take a vacation there around early September for one last summer trip, but I don't think I'm going to be doing it this year.

I hear it is great fishing there. Our lakes also get a lot of algae blooms due to the surrounding farm land.

Nice! A bit dif from what we have down here. Those blue cats?
No we only have two kinds up here, Bullhead and the ones in the picture, Channel Cats. The 8 to 20 pounders Channel Cats all sit at the bottom of dam just stuffing there face with minnows. Both were caught with jigs, their stomachs were loaded with minnows. They have nice firm white meat that tastes like chicken. A couple of years ago my wife caught two, over 19 pound Pike there as well.
