Pike...have yet to catch a Muskie on this stretch of river...where I used to catch Muskie is off limits due to the DNR installing fish ladders for the Trout and Salmon
Taking my son and grandson out Saturday...will post more pics if they are worthy
I was hoping to add fish pics of Thunder Rapids yesterday. There were NONE to be shown, no one we saw caught anything. My wife hooked a Pike 10 minutes in, bit through the line. Nothing for the next 3 hours. My wife said bring bags for the fish, we will keep a few. I told her the fish didn't like her cocky attitude.
Not usually but two nights in a row! A bait fisher and two women who call jigs, cajggers. Dam insulting, they both caught nice Walleye from shore, we caught diddly and squat from the boat.
My Daughter took me out on her Association's annual fishing trip. They chartered the Capt. Lou out of Freeport. We anchored up about two miles South of Jones Inlet. No Fluke so the pool went to the largest Black Sea Bass. This is her co-worker and his 13 year old Son, who caught this Sea Bass. It was the second largest just missing the pool money. We filled two buckets with Sea Bass and Porgies and even after splitting the fillets I have a lot of fresh fish for the table, which is the only reason I fish. Good eating for sure.
