Thanks! I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the front end is up higher than the rear because the new engine is lighter. So I have to do something about that lol.

This would be my resolution to your issue (hehe) 🙂🙂

I have to ask, does your alternator hit the hood? I have the same exact car and I had to clearance the hood. I used GM clam shells with AllStar Performance motor plates for the front engine mounts.

Edit - forget it - I seen on page 6 thy pics of your motor mounts welded in - nice.

Exactly as I said the ls1 brakes are your best bang for the buck, I went all the way with the C6 ZO6 brakes all around but that was crazy money. Belltech has a reasonable priced set of 2" drop spindles and can mount up the ls1's with some brackets from Kore3 without spending a ton on it
Thanks!

Yes, a turbo would be nice! Yep, the motor is tucked in there nicely.

Cruise working! It even has a little green light like it was a new car lol. Working on the sound system also 🙂
Very jealous of the new gauges I wasn't patient enough to wait for those so I got the VHX instead a couple of years ago, think I got them installed just as the HDX were getting released

Too bad they don't have a trade in program. I only have about 15 min in front of them going down the road,
but I do like them a lot also. We added the OBDII interface and the shift position indicator and everything seems to work well.
We needed the shift position indicator because the engine computer knows nothing about the shifter lol

Have to ask....price?

Strongly recommend pulling out the clutches to inspect them and differential pinion gears. My son bought an 8.5 from a GN and the diff was useable, but rough. If you decide to upgrade, then say so. There is no point in putting more than a bearing kit and clutches in a stock diff. Not saying it won't handle some go, but you can upgrade with to a 30 spline axle for about the same money as rebuilding your differential if it need pinions and side gears.

Nice score though - good luck - Jim

I paid a $1000 for it. The car's running gear is getting real close now so I took a gamble to keep the momentum up lol. I'm having disc brakes, coil overs, a arms, etc done in the next few weeks 🙂
