And I have been thinking about a fiberglass hood but they are a little steep. If I was buying new thats what I would get. I have seen some nice ones in the yard but dam theres never one when u need one. I think im going to start collecting spare sheet metal parts when the opportunity comes around. I think i will try posting on craigslist

there was a place advertising on craigslist a month or so ago, i think the adds still up in the sarasota auto parts section, for fiberglass hoods. of im not mistaken they were $279. for a bolt on model. they were from out of town but were coming down to the area for an event as a vendor and part of the deal was if you ordered it ahead of time they would bring it with them and then you wouldnt have to pay shipping. of course the event is over, but im sure the adds still up, it was last week, and they do ship. ill see if i can dig it up, never know, they might be coming back soon for another event or something.

here it is..they changed the add a bit .... http://lakeland.craigslist.org/ptd/2993498313.html . $270 bolt on, $170 pin on, $110. shipping to florida. might be worth asking them if they plan on coming back down for anymore events in the near future if your interested in spending that kind of loot. i found a place that has nice fiberglass cutty parts, and they have a complete 1 piece clip for the 81-88 cuttys but not for the 78-80 cuttys, anyone know of a vendor making front clips for the 78-80 cuttys ? always wanted to do one with a flip up front, that would be great.

heres a couple cool things i found on craigslist, if anyones looking. theres all kinds of parts and decent priced G bodys in this area if you look around. im strongly considering buying a hurst or 442 in really good shape at the end of this year if my cars not close to done by then, might anyhow. check out the second link i posted, looks like a really sweet deal. figured id post these here instead of craigslist thread since more local guys are likely to see them here, these are ft myers and sarasota area stuff.

I ll trade you straight up for that bubble......naw Im just kiddin. But even though you might not find someone to trade with on here you should try posting on craigslist. or just sell it and then buy a gbody

i dunno if its stil around bt theres a hella deal on the tampa craigslist. its an 80-s cutty , no motor or transmission for $800. but very nice car. used to be the guys highschool hotrod. its i great shape. might want to try looking it up. if i wasnt hemhoraging ( however you spell that ..lol ) id be on it like white on rice

Yeah I was thinking about checking that car out. It would be worth it if it reall has the gn rear end like he says. Also there is a guy trying to unload a 78-80 regal with a good engine/bad transmission. The body looks real good. He has steadily dropped the price and now he'll take $800

if you end up checking it out let me know, id be nsterested to see if its as clean as it looks. btw, i will probablyy be able to get up that way in july if we dont hook up by then so i could grab that core support then if its still available.

figured id UPDATE- just got all my soft top to hard top conversion pieces i needed. bought them off a member here, 81regal. also got some pretty decent taillights i needed from him. got all the window trim and the rear valance panel for a hardtop. thanks man. so anyone dealing with this member, id do so again without hesitation project may be on hold for a month or so though other than getting my parts in....family and money issues. familys costing me money

thats cool, but ill let you know if I head to brandenton this weekend to check out the lkq for their 50% off sale. If i go i can just swing swing out that way towards you . Hell, maybe just maybe that dude with the books will have the time to sell them to me. , He keeps posting them up on craigslist. :wtf:
