I recently added headers to my 350 motor and after a month of having them I havent been able to get my car started.I checked the starter, battery, alternator but that wasn't it, today I found a burnt spank plug wire against the headers. did i short out my electric distributor?

Nah you just created a shorter path to ground.. Ignition systems In my opinion are controlled short circuits anyways.. You just shorted yours out a little further up the circuit... Replace the wire and perhaps add some high temp spark plug sleeves to prevent this from happening again.
