Not too challenging.

Same drill bit, lol. Couldn't find another pic but we do this all the time.

Since I just ordered the Energy Suspension parts myself and being on the other side of the pond, what would be the length of the 1/2" bolt to source? I can get non-metric stuff here, but it has to be special ordered in metric-land.

As a bit of an update, Energy Suspension did reply to my inquiry today (that was nice...you never know if/when you'll get a response from a web inquiry from companies). They intend for the stock 12mm bolts to be used. The idea is that when the bolt is tightened the frame brackets draw in and captivate (pinch) the inner sleeve which should keep it from moving.

That may be fine for most. I scarred up that particular surface while cutting my original bolts out with a sawzall-brand brain rattling device. So I expect that may be why I am having trouble. And probably why I notice it on the driver size but (at least up until now) haven't noticed it on the other side.

I have a suspicion this (12mm bolt in a 1/2 ID sleeve) was not a design intention on Energy Suspension's part so much as parts bin engineering that just happened to work out "well enough."

here ya go KCP......shank length is most important as far as I am concerned. Shorter bolt has 3in and longer has 3.5in of unthreaded shaft. Some of the thread section can be cut down to make them a cleaner install. Note I used heavy grade washers as well.

I have also included a couple of pics to show the difference between 12mm and 1/2" bolt use in the poly bushes....

Jeez guys, take a rusty ol drill bit and kock the holes to 1/2", its that close. Use grade 8 bolts with poly locks and washers.

Do the same to the rear upper and lower holes.
