Front sway bar bushing bolt mount stripped

Any type of expandable fastener similar to a molly would be adequate. However, if the metal was thick enough from the start, I suppose it could easily accept being tapped. I find that being the problem from the get-go. Those areas just weren't prepared properly.
I do like the thought of using a crimped on fastener.

The original holes are punched and tapped. There is not much material there to work with once you strip the threads off as the wall thickness is only as thick as the rest of the frame
yeah not a lot there to begin with, @14 gauge and 1.5 threads per mm it like only 3 threads holding the bar to the frame LOL
I'm going to go with a Rivnut instead of the Keensert. Rivnut will grab the frame on both sides and be a lot stronger

You got it backwards: M10x1.5 means that one thread is 1.5mm long. If the frame is 3mm you get only 2 threads holding.

I live in metric world. I hawe no idea how thick is 14 gauge😊
Thanks my bad forgot the metric threads were based of distance of thread in stead of threads per mm. So there is even less threads holding the bolt in then i thought lol

Here’s what I did. I had a bunch of the custom washers made in case you wanted to go this route.
