I too am a member of the buried needle brethren. I'm here to remind you speed does not kill. It's the sudden stop that gets ya. When I had my Sierra tuned i made sure they raised the max speed. I payed for the entire speedometer and Intended to use it.

You reminded me, I wrapped my moonie speedo in my 88 GMT400 C1500 (TBI truck with no legs, Lt Dan?) back up to 30. But that's basically 85+30-however many lies it told. So less than the 1500 in my sig on metric 33s.

That looks like what happened to my S-10, it wore down the shaft and I guess the tensioner keep tightening it down or something. I couldn't fix it myself I had an interlock and you have to take it in so I'm not tampering with the equipment
