i want to know if an alt needs a fuseable link or do my head lights/lighter need the fuseable link. my car is a 78 olds cutlass with a 400 sbc. Im re installing my alt and dont remember where the fuseable link goes? it is a 30 amp fuseable link, also is that big/strong enough?
thanks

To my knowledge there are only two fusible links on the car and both came off the starter and fed the fuse block. I don't believe the alternator has any fusible link in its specific wiring.
