G body dome light interchangeability

I never paid attention before but are there 3 types of G body dome lights or are there more?

My 2+2 and Century wagon had the basic round dome might with no Map lights light this one

My 85 Salon had this single map light style below

And I found an 86 Salon Astroroof in the junkyard yesterday that had this style (courtesy of Rktpwrd)

Are all the Dome lights interchangeable? Are the mounts in the roof and headliner cutouts the same?

I would like to upgrade the simple domelight in my 2+2 to the fancy map light but don't know if the hole in the headliner is in the same place.

That last picture is a dead ringer for a 80's Ford dome light. It could have been retrofit by a previous owner.

Those are the 3 I've seen...not sure on interchangeability.

That is a factory dome light with map lights, it came stock on the car.

My Grand National and Malibu both have the dual map light one you have pictures. It located in a different spot. It also requires a separate mounting plate.

This is the plate that moves the light forward. As such, the hole in the headliner is also further forward.

Looks like that bracket is present on solid roof cars. The dome light I pulled mounted directly to the rear support on the Sunroof car.

I have the maplight in my wagon, but used the mounting are for the plain ole round light. I don't think I drilled new holes, but I can't remember. I can tell you I used the same location as the old light.
