True. Search the posts. Differing levels of shimming to make stuff fit. Nice step-by-step here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=30606 and viewtopic.php?f=19&t=41067

Plenty of threads on that in here. LScustoms has a bunch of awesome brake write ups.

I know the 98-02 Z28 rear discs work on the car but a person can't drive the thing unless apparently you mount the calipers on the wrong sides so they face the rear of the car. I know when just my fat *ss sits on the back of my car the frame bangs on the calipers. Just sayin. ...

I'm currently in reengineering mode with 93-97 Z28 rear calipers that are designed to face the rear of the car. Yep, I like doing stuff more than once. ...

On my 8.2 rear which has the 4 bolts for the backing plate on the caliper mounting bracket I welded the holes closed and drilled them to have the caliper at the rear. I'm using 1980 Seville rear brake calipers which were made to sit on the backside of the rear axle
