If the values for the upgrades are true they lost $$ on that build. My son is all over the build on the show and wanted to know if we were going to "do that to the monte " LOL

Thanks for posting the photos. I haven't seen that episode yet, and I was wondering what the finished product looked like. Judging by the costs involved, It looks like he probably didn't make a whole lot of money on it.

I like what they did to the bumpers. I like the interior and I like what they did to the trim. The wheels are too big and its sitting too low. Just my $0.02. I don't see how he couldn't have lost on that car. I don't think you build that car for $50k, especially with him paying his guys to do the work.

I hope he didn't make any money on it. Richard Rawlings is a drunk, arrogant a**wipe.

I believe on the show they said they had 40k or so into it.

3 weeks of labor X the # of guys they had working on it....ehhhh

It just might have been something set up by the show, as far as the buyer at the auction. It seems odd (maybe I missed it) that he was the only guy that bid. It opened at 25k or so, then he jumped straight to 50. Perhaps I missed something.

It's all fake and GMG could give the cars away for free and they would still make a ton of money.

Last time I was in Tokyo, my Hotel had about 12 channels including the BBC, CNN international and 4 local Tokyo stations. On Saturday morning, the sports channel had the Texas Rangers game (Yu Darvish was pitching) and Discovery Japan was playing a GMG marathon. That was back in 2013.

The amount of money that this show rakes in worldwide is probably shocking.

The wheels are too big and its sitting too low.

The Wheels would be better on a '79 Grand Prix build (which will never happen), but there is no such thing as a car "sitting too low" from a visual standpoint. From a practical/driving standpoint, sure, but visually, not possible.

Park the lowered Ford GT GMG did next to a stock Ford GT and the stock car looks like a 4X4. If lowering can make a $200K Mid engine supercar look like a 4X4, then it is lowering FTW.
