$3.70 a gallon here in North West Phoenix today. Our new Chevy Impala is a Flex-fuel car ( E-85 ) and nobody here sells it Go Figure......

Just remember the higher amount of corn in your gas the lower the gas mileage you will get so do the calculations to see if you are saving money or not.

I second that remark. My wife's '08 Tahoe is a flex fuel vehicle. E-85 is a little cheaper, but I swear it burns twice as fast as regular gas. The savings of the lower cost of E-85 is negated by the cost of the additional trips to the pump that you have to make.

and the reason for the poor fuel economy is ...:

Gasoline (base) 1 US gallon 114,000 BTU/gal
Ethanol fuel (E100) 1.5 US gallons 76,100 BTU/gal

I understand the whole alcohol in the fuel thing. If they did sell it here I probably wouldn't buy it. I was just saying that just about every new car sold here is a Flex-Fuel model.
I was curious about the E-85 and I checked I could only find one outlet for E-85 in the Phoenix area. but it was for fleet cars only.
I was also surprised to find out the Flex - fuel Impala does not have a fuel filter.

on the other hand they can make more power on e85 I was just reading how the 2015 5.3 will make 355hp on gas but on e85 will make 380hp and 416lb-ft

For my Flex Fuel vehicle the break even point is when E85 is $.42 cheaper then gas. Anything over that is savings..

On my truck I would typically get 17 -18 mpg on gas and 12-13 mpg on E85. It was never worth it to run it because the price difference was never large enough to save any money.

If they made it so you actually gained more power when running E85 it might have persuaded me more to run it. However, if the gain is only 25hp, I don't think the 5 mpg worse fuel milage is worth it. I gained 25hp by just tuning the truck and lost maybe 1 mpg on average over stock running 93 octane.
