I think that is 10K+ car if it is as rust free as it looks. It has the options I like.
If I put my manual tilt column and 455 in my factory 4 speed I wouldn't give 2 :poop::poop: is someone screamed and pointed at me and every perceived flaw. Hundreds of G bodies for sale right now. I wonder why they aren't posted here....for free🤔

Point taken.... (it's actually a good point really)

but.

trying to push a conversion off as factory is a big no-no. I bet I've seen 3x the number of "hell yeah its a factory stick" cars that aren't, than actual factory stick cars.

Either that or GM would randomly run out of manual parts on the line, go "eh that'll do" and ship it out the door.... (which I guess is possible)

.....and then found them all in a warehouse a few years later and sent them off to Mexico, "hey here slap this sh*t in a Monte or two will ya? Yeah this crate of Pontiac dashboards, too."

They're only worth what someone else will pay. Ultimately, buyers set the price.

Luckily, there's a butt for every seat.

No way 19K🤣. I saw two locally, very nice, as in minimal rust for around 5K each. Man an Olds 350 with a 5 or 6 spd would be awesome. Now those are tempting but alas 6 months of Winter and 4wd are neccessary here. Already own two 6 month cars. My ex BIL had a 80 Caballero supposedly factory 350 4 spd, neat little unit.

I ought to go look at it and take pics of everything ya'll want to see, just because its close and for sh!ts and giggles...

Let me know the pics you want of it. So far, I have the steering column key lock, the fancy exhaust hanger in the back.. VIN... what else? 🙂

I do agree that 19k is way out of line.
At least the add does say engine and rear have been changed for good upgrades.
Column and no hump are suspiciouse.
If you do look at it Gonzo, maybe see if the floor has been replaced.
Not sure if these had the tach filter on the firewall or not.
Other than the price and suggesting that it is a rare optioned 4 speed....I like it.
A dealer in East Tn had a low mileage, 57,000 elky (obviously 157,000) but TN clean uderneath.
It was listed at $12,000.
About double its value, but they list it high to see what happens

Bone stock, unmolested, clean, I could see 12-15. The chrome diff cover drops the value for me by at least 3g's right off the hop. If you're gonna ask 20k for any gbody (ok, ok, almost any) it either needs to be very built, or completely untouched.

There was once an 81 Trans Am for sale up here, for about 22k IIRC. Factory convertible (doesn't exist) with a '77-78 front end. FACTORY ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING BONE STOCK BLAH BLAH BLAH. Give me a break. Was actually a very clean, nice looking ride, that a lot of work had gone in to, albeit was probably not well done considering the shady sales tactic. Too bad, if he had just been honest I would not have doubted the price tag.

Sad part is, you know damn well somebody with more money than brains bought it.

I owned an 80 El Camino that was a factory 3spd floor shift. It also didnt have a tilt wheel. That i remember the hump on the floor was flat where the shifter came thru. It was obviously factory. There was no console. Just the shifter boot.
