Probably a fuse marked "gauges".

checked the fuse and it isnt blown 🙁 any idea what the nexxt step is? i dont have tail lights ether  .

so everything electronical work but the tail lights( and blinker) and the gauges? do i maybe have something plugged in wrong? seems odd that everything but those are working.

You got some serious wiring issues there. Time for the test light and multi-meter dance. Start at the fuse panel and test all the power wires and grounds. If you just can't find the problems, you may have to rewire some dedicated power and grounds.

Sounds like it's time for you to buy a Chassis Service Manual, or at least an electrical supplement for it. Factory Auto Manuals has these, and they are reasonable. Here's a link:

http://www.factoryautomanuals.com/c-18430-oldsmobile-manuals.aspx?pagenum=21

The site lists both the manual and a supplement. Some years the electrical portion was separate, others, like my 87 Cutlass, had the electrical portion in the manual. At the price I see, I would get both. Having the manual has saved me a lot of headaches!

Oh man, I have gotten ALL my many manuals from factoryautomanuals.com! Those guys are the best!
