Stock Interiors sources their carpets from " ACC, ACME, Newark, Accuform and more" as their website quotes. I bet it's the ACC as others sell. My big thing is, does it fit.

Glad I found this since I was JUST researching my carpet options today. I will be buying the mass backed carpet. Now I have to just get slithers for the little areas by the back seat of the wagon...
Jim,
You won't need the "slithers" by the backseat. They provide extra carpet for the 2-dr and 4-dr sedan, as well as the wagon.
I know when I removed my old OEM carpet, they had small square pieces stapled in by the back seat and C-pillar area.

The carpet I installed was an ACC carpet and it fit very well. When you get it the carpet it is rolled up. It works best if you can lay it out flat on the driveway or other clean spot that it can sit in the sun to let it return to it's preformed shapes. It also helps when it is still warm to put it in and push it in all the corners and bends it needs to fit. Take your time and it should turn out good

I might be wrong but I think most automotive carpet sold out there is actually produced by ACC. I heard this from a friend that had an upholstery shop. I used it in my 81 Malibu and the fit was perfect. I bought the mass backed. My buddy did the installation for me. The only thing that he used to make the job easier was a professional steamer. It heated up the carpet and it conformed to the curves in the floor pan. No wrinkles at all.
No adhesive needed at all.

get mass backed. Let it sit out for a long time unrolled. Use heat to let it mold to the floor board. It doesnt fit exact, but it does take form over time. ACC is about the only source out there.

That is what I was concerned about, those little slithers for those areas.

Yeah, I was concerned about at first, but I figured why would they claim that it fits all models..
