My brother lives there. I spent a week there before Christmas while my brother was in the hospital. Nice town with lots to do. I was impressed by the way people act. Small town feel in a big town. One problem. Housing shortage. What is available is very expensive. People camp out in Walmart parking lot. Campgrounds are full of people living there.

LOL - I am used to aggressive housing markets. We are waiting for our "too big to fail" bubble to burst up here. We would probably be looking for something outside of the city, just as we are now.

How does your brother feel about people camping out front of his place?

• ICE will give a smartphone loaded with the application to immigrants who do not have their own devices.
• The smartphones are not enabled for personal use and cannot make phone calls or browse the internet.
• the phones are pre-loaded with an application called SmartLINK as a way to track immigrants who have been released from detention and are awaiting a deportation hearing. SmartLINK is part of ICE's Alternative to Detention program to closely track "non-detained noncitizens at varying levels of supervision, using several different monitoring technologies," ICE’s spokesperson said.
• The app requires someone to check in with immigration officials either by uploading a selfie or answering a call from their case manager
• there were only about 1.6 million apprehended illegal immigrants in 2021 not even close to being over 2million

All that does is confirm that, in fact, they ARE given free smart phones and released. Devices that can be jailbroken, sold at recycling kiosks for cash, and/or perhaps activated on some network with a sim card for all we know. But, nonetheless given, which was my claim that originally was called fake.

And, given how understaffed, how many sections of borders are unpatrolled and unfenced, and how many times mass rushes of immigrants result in many sneaking through undetained by agency own admissions, Thank you for also conceeding the intercepted alone were over 1.6 million in a single year of reckless conditions. Reasonable minds can easily extrapolate more than 3xx,*** went unapprehended over the year to get to the 2+ million mark.


But all that is neither here, nor there, when we're sneaking in a handful of Canadians.

That is another problem. Unless you are Indain? Good luck finding something outside of town. Reservations and state land all around the town. Some of the smaller towns you would not like to live there. Real meth problems are there. My brother lives in a small two bedroom house that is very old. He has no driveway or garage. It was the only place he could find that he could afford. He is exairforce. That is how he ended up there. He said out of everywhere he has been and lived. He said it is the coolest place. If you moved there you would only be 17 hours away from where I live.

I'm not overly happy with the Canadian immigrants that fly in every summer

They hiss at you when you're at the park and walk to close
They expect you to feed them when your minding your own business trying to have a nice meal with your family
They come in, have their kids and then leave them here once they are old enough to fend on their own
They crap in the open and don't clean up after themselves
