GM Planning to Close Oshawa Assembly

As far as I know, all of the Iraqi Malibus were built in Oshawa.
My '80 Malibu was built in Oshawa, and it was originally shipped to Ontario Motor Sales in Oshawa.

Apparently they are closing Lordstown too- https://www.wpxi.com/news/top-stori...-america-shuttering-lordstown-plant/878701311

I think I hate new GM.

"Plants without products include assembly plants in Detroit; Lordstown, Ohio; and Oshawa, Ontario. Also affected are transmission factories in Warren, Michigan, as well as Baltimore"

Instead of trying to figure out why sales are dropping and a strategy to increase sales the company just quits....but the salaries for the directors will keep going, bunch of cowards

Most people probably don't care, but for me, where a vehicle was assembled is a factor I consider when buying a car. I will not buy an American car that isn't made in the US or Canada.

Between this and those "Real people, not actors" Chevy commercials, I'm done with new GM.

Made in America or Canada actually should say: "Assembled locally from parts sourced world wide at the lowest submitted bids".

My wife's one cousin & his in-laws work(ed) at Lordstown. Talk about major suck. As for Oshawa & at least the Impala I've heard that GM was going to axe the Impala & it's stablemates in the next year or two. GM seems to have the same plan as Ford to out right quit cars (except the Vette & Camaro) & just do trucks, SUV's, CUV's, thingy-UV's.
