Had a good time & nothing broke 😀 , Car ran good & for the most part it hooked decent feathering it, I got no tire spin on 2 runs, the other 2 it spun & i let out to get it to re-hook, I had fun, car felt great, started out with 28 lbs. air, dropped it down to 24 lbs., changed jetting a bit on my last run, didn't help MPH at all, On my second run i pulled the air cleaner, same thing, no change, overall it was fairly consistent based on the 60fts. I was pretty easy on it through the 60ft. on all runs, then layed into it after that. The MPH was very consistent, shifted around 55-5600. There using a different prep & man is it working, cars were hooking hard, i'm sure thats why i didn't fry the tires off leaving the line.

1st. pass, 2.0x 60ft., 8.3 @ 86+ 12.7x @ 108+ change
2nd. pass, 2.2x 60ft., 8.5 @ 86+ 12.9x @ 108+ pulled cleaner & spun
3rd. pass, 2.0x 60ft., 8.3 @ 86+ 12.7x @ 108+
4th. pass, 2.3x 60ft., 8.6 @ 86+ 13.03 @ 108+ jetted up front from 72 too 75 & spun

It probably has some 7's if you get some sticky tires on it

According to the wallace calculator, 8.3 1/8 mile converts to 13.0 1/4, I ran 12.7s on an 8.3, went 13.01 on an 8.6 1/8, so it must have been spinning through 1st. gear.

I know we all keep on saying get tires. But get tires.

U were definitely spinning. And the fact you arent full power gettin out of the hole is killing you

I think youll get a 1.7 60'.

When r u going back?

No telling when i'll get back, but your right, i need tires, I was worried about the stock DShaft, but was told it should hold up with good U-Joints.

Yeah youll be fine. Ive seen stock shafts on 7 second cars. Thats 1/4 btw

If your worried about it, throw some hoops in there just in case. Never want to polevault due to a failure. But just check your yolk at the trans, and the bolts and yolk at the diff. Those are the common fail points. Dont often see a stock driveshaft twist in half from power. Tires would likely get you a far better ET tho. I would think a radial would be enough, i doubt a slick is NEEDED.

Thats good to here, thanks.

As said you should be fine, your not turning it hard enough to get in trouble. Look up Drive Shaft Critical Rpm for some good read - Precision Shaft Technologies (PTS) has a nice
chart you can look at.
