Thanks! i was surprised how clean it came out.. I thought that the aluminum would surely be discolored or stained. Seeing as what the donor looks like it made me happy!! more pics :mrgreen: now i need to figure out how to get it in. i am going to forgo the rebuild for now as i need to direct money towards the harness and fuel system 8)

Again didn't do much to my ls swap BUT i did mangage to pick up a NOS 85 upper grille!!! 8) It sure does look so puuurtty!!! Beats having my stock one rechromed pricewise and waiting for the aftermarket to decide to make them.... Now if i could find the lowers...

Thought about it with my non NOS replacement grille...BUT if i could find some lower NOS grilles and headlight surrounds i'm gonna leave them them stock... 8) It is too nice to paint... :mrgreen: I never thought i would find one. I tried to get my og cracked grille repaired and rechromed but it was way too expensive!! back to my LS swap i needn to get it done!! :roll:

Few updates:....
Relocated driver's side o2 sensor: got some o2 sensor bungs from local exhaust shop. Took manifold and relocated sensor with after cutting shield, drilling the new hole and welding in bung and finding a plug for the original o2

Modified LS1 throttle cable with stock cable as LS cable was too long, and to avoid grinding the firewall.

Started to install the factory stock sensor to the guages used my original oil pressure sending unit with a adaptor and a modified original temp by a LS1 tech.com & mcss.com member can't recall his tag right now :oops:

took apart the t56 for the analog speedo tailshaft housing done by Dan aka "ALLOY on 3rdGen.com and LS1tech.com Good service!

Took off CAGS unit cut it down, removed coil windings, welded pin, and JB welded it and painted... Saved me 30 bucks 8)

Got some buckets off a 08 GP after my Boy Dru picked some for cheap and made them work on his GP but he did have factory bucket seat tracks.. and they look good!
I bought the seats from salvage yard:

my factory 60/40 seat tracks were too wide including power drivers seat tracks.. so i bought some factory bucket seats with manual tracks:

lookin to order my carpet soon , finish wiring and fuel lines, along with wheels... :|

Started the t56 mock up..
installed pilot bearing, flywheel, and pressure plate

installed trans but failed to measure twice and cut once... :roll: nothing a welder could fix.. :wink: Thanks to my boy Dru we got it in though..

Dru took apart the blue bucket seat tracks and installed them on my 08 GP buckets!! Thanks brotha! glad to have a helping hand!! :mrgreen:
