Sad to hear about your grandfather...sounds like he lived a good life and it's great that he had grandkids like yourself who enjoyed his company. You probably helped keep him young at heart with your interest in the same style of cars he enjoyed.
It's my dad's now -- I've just been storing it and working on it. My grandpa promised it to him 10 or 15 years ago and set it up in his will. Of course, after he died a couple of family members claimed they really wanted it. To avoid any hard feelings my dad offered to let them buy it, at about 1/2 market value might I add. Suddenly, they didn't really want it that bad. At that point he decided it needed a moderate resto. With the exception of the wheels and valve covers that were added in about 1970 it's completely stock. We plan to change nothing.Blazenlotus said:So do you get to keep the El Camino?
