Ah that sux

So today I tore apart the 350 that was in the Salon. Going to take it to a machine shop. I've heard stories of machine shops misplacing parts so I did a little personalizing to the front pad on the block. I also stamped my last name on my crankshaft. My engines crankshaft you perverts. HeHe

He said crankshaft...hee hee hee

I put the 350 in a big plastic tote. I placed it on an angle so that one head surface is level. I poured muriatic acid into the coolant passage. The acid level is about an inch from the top because it started running out the water pump holes. The biggest part of the rusty crud was in the bottom so it should eat it. It has sat out there all night. Going to drain it and flip it to the other side. Then fill it up so it can soak. Taking it Monday to a machine shop for a vat, oil galley brushing, cam bearings, and freeze plugs. Was going to use another 350 I have here but don't want the big cam and higher compression. Would rather save it for my Monte Carlo SS project or my 56 F100

I got a brain swelling thing accomplished on the Salon today. The HVAC wiring has been modernized with the new style woven loom. I had ran the main engine wiring along the lower firewall pinch weld to get it out of site. It is all also wrapped in the new style woven loom. I changed the pressure switch and dryer out with newer style. Had to rewire that. Every plastic wiring connector was cleaned and polished. I even used Sem Solve on a rag to clean each wire. I routed some of the wiring a little different and it looks a bit cleaner. It took most of the day but most of it was staring at it trying to figure out which way to go.
