I am very happy that the car is near completion. As soon as the last wrench is turned on the Salon, I'll be starting on my 55. Going to be selling my Montes. I'd love to get my 55 painted before winter. Then I'd have all winter to assemble.

I think I'm going to at least get my fenders gold striped today. This will let me install inner fenders and all that goes around them. Going to spray them off the car. I'm going to let the bumpers and deck lid dry for a few days

Man I wish I had your talent and ambition! Got caught up last night and this morning on this thread and man what a awesome build and sweet car!!

I had three heavy coats of high solids clear on the bumpers and deck lid and decided to mix a little more and put on one more for good measure. That one bit me in the *ss. Got a few runs in the rear bumper and one small one in the front bumper. No biggie though. I got a nib file and was planning on sanding and buffing anyway. I also painted myself in a corner. I need the 55 and Salon back in the garage before bed time. Going to see if the wife will help transfer the saw horses while I pack the parts to the shed

I did the same thing on my pickup truck bedside. "One more coat of clear can't hurt" then I tripped over my own air hose and added a run........
